This year at the Abbie Hoffman Died for Our Sins Theatre Festival, Nothing Special Productions is serving up the silliness with this darkly ludicrous parody play from the warped mind of Nick Cardiff. See what happens when ambitious ad man/bad-ass vampire, Harris, pitches his controversial new marketing campaign to the crusty old Ken and Roger (of the Transylvanian persuasion) who only want to turn a profit on their synthetic blood in a can, “Bloody Merry”. Will Ken and Roger agree to use a violent human to serve as the horrifying face of their brand and scare their fellow blood-suckers into a life void of hunting? Or will they give Harris the stake? Or will something more preposterous happen? The only way to find out is to catch the one and only performance at 8:00pm on Saturday, August 10th at The Den Theatre.
Directed by Brian Rohde
Fight Choreography by Steve Wisegarver
Harris – Ricky Rodriguez
Ken – Daniel Vuillaume
Roger – Scott Patrick Sawa
Donnie – Conor Burke
Summer – Kim Fukawa
Stick around after the show for the wacky ukulele stylings of Rohde (the super-secret alter-ego of director Brian Rohde).
If you don’t come, you won’t see it.
