Bio:

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri in June of 1986, but if you’re a Cubs fan, please don’t hold my birthplace against me. I have an older sister named Audrie, who’s Masters degree in Psychology makes me feel like an asshole at family events(“Well…you see…I have a B.S. in theatre…), but she’s still cool. Fun fact: I officiated over the wedding ceremony with her husband Nate(who is also still cool, despite the fact he married my sister). My parents, both crazy individuals, have always taught me to follow my dreams, regardless of the consequences. Unfortunately, they also taught me to be realistic, so aside from the company, I hold a run of the mill day job.

I got into theatre at a much later age than I probably should have. I was always a weird kid with a wild imagination, and I’m not sure that much has changed. I met Rohde during 4th grade when we both got shipped across the district to attend “gifted” classes(feel free to interpret “gifted” as you will) and found ourselves singing Weird Al songs together. I met Nick in a similar fashion…except at Rohde’s house…during sophomore year of high school…and I don’t think Weird Al was involved. In any case, Nick and I went to ISU together, and somehow ended up deciding to do a show during the summer, which then turned into the beautiful, shining theatre company you know so well.

10 Sentence Ramble:

I like tattoos, a lot. I currently have three, but I plan to expand that number in the coming years(as long as money permits). I also enjoy writing poetry. But the poetry I like to write tends to lean away from Dickenson and Shakespeare, and more towards Ginsberg and Jay-Z. I know that is a weird combination, but the beat generation and the hip-hop generation are not that far off. My favorite band is, and has been since 5th grade, Counting Crows. I’m also a huge fan of BareNaked Ladies. I’ve been playing the bass guitar since 5th grade. I like being a weirdo. No matter how old I get, I’ll always still wish I was a rock star.
